Mishlei 23:17-18 - Envy of Sinners and Fear of Hashem (Part 1)
(יז) אַל יְקַנֵּא לִבְּךָ בַּחַטָּאִים כִּי אִם בְּיִרְאַת י"י כׇּל הַיּוֹם:
(יח) כִּי אִם יֵשׁ אַחֲרִית וְתִקְוָתְךָ לֹא תִכָּרֵת:
Length: 45 minutes
Synopsis: This morning (11/30/22), in our morning Mishlei shiur, we began another couplet of pesukim on the theme of a father's mussar to his son. This one featured a strange juxtaposition and an even stranger benefit/consequence. We toyed with several approaches and read the Metzudas David, but we'll check out the other meforshim tomorrow (בג"ה).
