Mishlei 13:3 - Lips of Self-Destruction

נֹצֵר פִּיו שֹׁמֵר נַפְשׁוֹ, פֹּשֵׂק שְׂפָתָיו מְחִתָּה לוֹ:

Length: 1 hour 22 minutes
Synopsis: Tonight (12/4/23), in our Monday Night Mishlei shiur, we learned another pasuk about speech. I suspected this one would be easier than last week's, and it was! We came up with two approaches of our own, and then learned two approaches from the meforshim. This is definitely one of those "easier said than done" pesukim, but saying it is the first step to doing it - even when the "doing" in this case involves NOT saying things!

The Torah content for this week (until Chanukah) has been sponsored by ME, on the occasion of my 23rd gerriversary. On the 21st of Kislev in the year 5761/2000, I converted to Judaism, which was undoubtedly one of the best decisions of my life. ברוך שהכניסני תחת כנפי השכינה. Blessed is the One Who ushered me under the wings of the divine providence.
