Mishlei 13:12 - Since When is Taavah is a Tree of Life?!

תּוֹחֶלֶת מְמֻשָּׁכָה מַחֲלָה לֵב, וְעֵץ חַיִּים תַּאֲוָה בָאָה:

Length: 1 hour 22 minutes
Synopsis: Tonight (2/5/24), in our Monday Night Mishlei shiur, we learned a pasuk that, on the surface, seems to advocate the pursuit of תאוה (desire, lust, instinctual pleasure) and goes so far as to refer to it as an עץ חיים (tree of life). What could Shlomo ha'Melech possibly mean? We came up with two of our own approaches, and then learned a nice approach from the combined forces of the Malbim and the Meiri.
